Hope Garden is a response to the call in the communities we work with to engage in climate action in tangible ways through community-based initiatives. Based on research on how young people and their families are feeling in relation to ecological catastrophe, Hope Garden was set up to provide resources and opportunities to encourage pro-environmental action and discussion across generations with an emphasis on inclusive activities and tools for families. Our hope is that these activities will serve as a means of engagement, education and community, and contribute in small ways to mitigating the increasing concerns that we hear families reporting around the climate crisis . Through partnerships with local urban gardening initiatives, mainly based at Concordia University, Hope Garden offers opportunities to participate in community gardening, arts-based activities, experiential land-based learning, and climate action.
