NeuroTarot

NeuroTarot draws on astrology, poetry, computational neuroscience and Hindu mythology to explore human systems for meaning-making, and at the same time to attend to the politics of the neuroscience and its role in social life. While subverting the authority of neuroscience in our everyday lives, it looks for spaces within the discourse of the brain that are emancipatory and hopeful. NeuroTarot focus on five themes: plasticity (transformation/change); empathy (intersubjectivity, self/other); uncertainty and prediction; the self (as flux/flow) and poiesis (narrative/time). This is a neuroscience, visual art and AI digital installation created in collaboration with Public/Official and funded by the Berggruen Institute.
