Community Healing Days is a low barrier healing project serving low income and marginalized folks. The therapist collective runs a monthly clinic bridging alternative and traditional practitioners with vulnerable populations that are underserved by the public healthcare system. We work in our clinic space in the Plateau Mont Royal, and partner with multiple organizations across the city and province to make the clinic accessible to specific populations. Our current clinics include: Perinatal, Trans Care and Menstrual/Reproductive Clinics.
I direct the research program of the clinics. We collect quantitative and qualitative data to better understand the unmet healthcare needs of marginalized communities and the benefits of a low barrier clinic offering alternative and traditional healing modalities. The information is gathered in order to be able to advocate for a more integrated, human centric healthcare system in Quebec.
